Winkler Technik GmbH was founded in 1977 by Dr. Wolfram
Winkler. The company specialises in the development and
sale of innovative fi xing systems for underfl oor-heating
and cooling in buildings, sports halls, stadiums and airport
runways.

The Winkler Group has been active in underfl oor-heating
and cooling since 1962, when Alfred Winkler became the
fi rst heating installer to use a new type of plastic pipe, laying
the foundations for modern underfl oor-heating.
In 1970, Dr. Wolfram Winkler took over management of the
group, after previously running the heating and air-conditioning
department of a major Swiss company which was involved,
among other things, with the construction of the Gotthard
road tunnel, Geneva airport and the European nuclear research
centre CERN.

The innovative aspirations of the company‘s founders and
their successors are still characteristic of the company‘s
aspirations today. In 2007 alone, Winkler Technik registered
fi ve new patents. In 2008, Winkler Technik made it into the
fi nal round of the TOP 100 most innovative small and mediumsized
German companies. The company operates in over
30 countries worldwide. Its expertise in underfl oor-heating
and cooling is universally recognised.
